This was a set of recommendations, examples and best practices that I compiled for a client who was considering redesigning their B2B site.  After a quick audit, it was evident that Search was a major usability problem.

This document was created to help them understand that search/browsing functionality and user goals can be quite complex. Understanding their target personas, along with primary customer goals, is critical to defining an optimized search experience.
